A private aircraft has crashed into homes in Farnborough, Kent, the Metropolitan Police has said. A small plane has crashed into two homes in Farnborough, Kent, the Metropolitan Police has said.
Scotland Yard said the plane came down at about 1430BST and police were on the scene with fire and ambulance services. Fire was billowing from homes on quiet Broadwater Gardens after the plane came down at about 1430BST. Five people were on board, London Fire Brigade said.
The crash happened in Broadwater Gardens, police said, but the situation regarding casualties was not known. Eyewitnesses said the plane came over nearby woods and hit houses before bursting into flames. It is not known if there was anyone in the two homes.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing the plane hit a house and burst into flames. It is understood, but not confirmed, that five people were on board. The plane was thought to be a twin engine Cessna Citation executive jet.

One pilot, John, was landing a light aircraft at nearby Biggin Hill, just ahead of the crashed plane. A pilot who was landing another light aircraft at nearby Biggin Hill said he heard the pilot of the crashed plane talking to airport control.
