A British foreign office minister has warned that endemic corruption in Kenya is helping to drive the supply of illegal drugs into the UK.

Dr Kim Howells made his comments on a visit to inspect Kenya's anti-terrorist and anti-drug operations.

Nearly a dozen drug seizures in Britain so far this year have come via Kenya.

The British minister also urged the Kenyan government to move quickly on fresh allegations of corruption over a money laundering and banking scam.
