A 49-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Shirley Finlay in Ballymena two months ago. | |

In court was Henrik Gorski, who has an address at Hill Street in Ballymena but is originally from Poland. | |
He has also been charged with raping another woman, indecently assaulting her and threatening to kill her. Mr Gorski spoke only to confirm his name. | |
He is accused of killing Miss Finlay between 17 and 20 September and attacking the other woman between 3 and 23 August and then again on 15 September. | |
A detective inspector told the court he had been interviewed 16 times and that he always denied the charges. | |
However, he said she believed she could connect him to the charges. | |
The accused was remanded in custody until 7 December. |
