Prime Minister Hun Sen said Thursday that he had authorized the military to fire rockets from helicopters at smugglers of illegally cut timber. Mr. Hun Sen did not explain how illegal logging activities might be distinguished from the air. Cambodia has suffered from severe deforestation for the past several decades.
