Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a driver who picked up a teenage girl in a white van and touched her inappropriately before dropping her off in the Alexandria area of Fairfax County last week.

The 17-year-old girl reported she was walking along the 6300 block of Quander Road about 12:15 p.m. on Feb. 18, when the man drove up in the van, police said. The man ordered the teen to get in the van, and she complied.

The man made verbal advances toward the teen and touched her inappropriately, police said. The girl asked to be dropped off nearby, and the driver let her out of the van.

Police also received a second report of a similar van on Quander Road at Stokes Lane on Feb. 22. There was no victim in that incident.

The suspect in the first incident is described as a white or light-skinned Hispanic in his late 20s. He is between 5’6” and 5’10”. He was wearing a white T-shirt.

Police have increased patrols in the area in an attempt to locate the driver.
