On Thursday, there were no major incidents on area highways blamed on the storm. But some parts of the region had roads closed due to downed wires and flooding.
On Metro, the system was running normally for the most part. On Wednesday, officials at the Franconia-Springfield stop opened the gates of the flooded garage to speed the exit of cars.
About 1,200 people in Northern Virginia, Maryland and the District were without power Thursday morning.
