But in a letter seen by the BBC they decline the latest offer on the grounds there is nothing new to discuss. "What we don't want is continuing maybes because that doesn't help any of us," said Howard Wells.
They say that in the absence of any viable alternative for the sports to consider and the unlikelihood of other options being brought forward within a time frame which would prove acceptable to all three sports - particularly football - they feel there is nothing to be added to the current debate. "I think what we need is a situation where we actually know what is going to happen and what sort of time frame we're talking about, but we've been saying that repeatedly for months."
And add they are convinced the current business plan will provide a stadium which will not only cover its operating costs, but will also provide revenue for the sports involved.
