Version 0 of 1.

On Easter Sunday, the bishops find themselves grappling with the rights and wrongs of embryo research.

The Sunday Express says Gordon Brown has got himself into "an unholy dilemma" on whether to let MPs have a free vote on the embryo bill.

The Independent on Sunday thinks Gordon Brown is determined not to give way.

The Sunday Times demands a "genuine free vote". "The most famous moral compass in Britain has got itself stuck," it comments.

Weather woes

The Sunday Mirror thinks it has been more of a "Beaster holiday" than an Easter holiday, because of the weather.

The "coldest and wettest" for a decade, says the Times. The Sunday Express says it has been "a dream for children, a nightmare for travellers".

On the front of the Observer, a boy shows off his snowman under the headline "Dreaming of a white Easter".

The News of the World says heavy snow and Arctic winds brought Easter misery as families battled travel chaos.

McCartney meeting

Sir Paul McCartney and his estranged wife may have left the High Court but they are back in the tabloids.

The News of the World reports that he spent just 25 seconds with Heather Mills when dropping their daughter back at her home.

The People reports that the couple met to "clear the air" and put bitterness from their divorce behind them.

But the Mail on Sunday expects the wrangling to continue. Its headline says: "She's not finished yet."
