Woman charged with man's murder

Police have charged a 59-year-old woman with the murder of a man found dead at a flat in Essex.

Michael Bernhardt, of Queens Road, Frinton, was found dead in a property in the street on Thursday.

A post-mortem examination revealed the 61-year-old had suffered stab wounds, an Essex Police spokesman said.

Anne Starmore, also of Queens Road, Frinton, has been charged with murder and will appear before magistrates in Chelmsford on Monday.
