Blast at Hamas facility in Gaza 'Accidental blast' at Hamas camp
(about 12 hours later)
Palestinian officials say two members of the military wing of Hamas have been killed in an explosion at one of its training facilities in Gaza City. An accidental explosion was to blame for the deaths of two Palestinian militants at a training facility in Gaza City, Hamas officials have said.
The group, the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, has blamed Israel for the blast, which also injured four. Hamas had initially blamed an Israeli air strike for the blast.
The Israeli military has denied any involvement in the incident. Palestinian medics said the two had mishandled explosives. Hamas said they died performing their jihadi duty.
