Firefighters called to the Grange Hotel, Rhyl, at around 2145 GMT on Tuesday took four hours to bring the blaze under control. Eighty firefighters dealt with the blaze at the Grange Hotel, Rhyl, which was reported at 2145 GMT and took four hours to bring under control.

The fire service said the person had been rescued from the property shortly before 2300 GMT and had been taken to Glan Clwyd Hospital by ambulance. Efforts to dampen down the fire continued through the night and into Wednesday morning.
When they arrived, firefighters had found one side of the three-storey hotel already well-alight but went in to carry out a search. The three-storey building had received 100% fire damage and was "structurally unsafe", according to the fire service.
