Ramsden Heath stabbing: Woman arrested on suspicion of GBH

Police searching for a woman after a man was stabbed in an Essex village have made an arrest.

Officers were called to Downham Road in Ramsden Heath at about 11:00 GMT on Saturday after paramedics reported a man in his 40s had been stabbed.

Essex Police began a search for a woman who left the scene. A 41-year-old woman was arrested in Basildon on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

The victim was airlifted to hospital and has since been released.
