Man dies after bungalow collapses

A man in his 50s died when a bungalow in west London collapsed during renovation work.

Emergency services were called to St Margaret's Avenue in Hillingdon at 1230 GMT on Saturday where they found the collapsed building.

Fire crews recovered the man from the site but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Another man suffered shock.

A post mortem examination will be carried out in due course to determine cause of death.
