Murder arrests after man stabbed in Walsall

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of murdering a man whose body was found with stab wounds in Walsall.

The 56-year-old victim was pronounced dead by ambulance staff at a property in Walsall Street, Willenhall.

He was found at about 20:30 GMT on Monday, but West Midlands Police believe the man "may have been dead for several hours".

A woman and a man have been arrested. A post-mortem is expected to be carried out on Wednesday, said officers.

The 37-year-old Walsall woman, of no fixed address, was arrested at 22:45 on Monday in Ravenscroft Road, while the 49-year-old man was arrested at a property in St Giles Street, also in Willenhall, in the early hours of Tuesday.

Both are being held in police custody on suspicion of murder, said the West Midlands force.
