'Most wanted' Briton's drugs arrest in Greece

One of Britain's "most wanted" suspected criminals has been arrested in Greece.

Simon Dutton, from Bolton, Greater Manchester, is alleged to have been part of a plot to smuggle cocaine worth £1.6m into the United Kingdom.

The 39-year-old faces drug importation and supply charges, as well as being accused of money laundering.

The National Crime Agency (NCA) said he was detained on a European Arrest Warrant in Thessaloniki on Sunday

Extradition proceedings are expected to commence shortly.

The arrest is related to a September 2009 raid on a cocaine factory in Stockport, Greater Manchester, the NCA said.
