Hume and wife hurt in car crash

The Nobel Prize laureate was in one of two cars involved in the smash at Carrowprassna near Greencastle at 1730 GMT, a SDLP spokesman said. The couple was taken to Altnagelvin Hospital in Londonderry where they were treated for minor injuries. Mr Hume won the international peace prize in 1998 for his role in the Northern Ireland peace process. |
