A planned strike by drivers employed by train operator One has been called off following a new pay offer.

Train drivers union Aslef announced last week that 750 members with One Railway would strike on six dates in a dispute over pay.

One Railway operates trains between London and the East of England.

The drivers had been due to walk out on Friday, but the action has been averted following talks at the conciliation service Acas.

The union had called six one-day strikes among its members within One, on 10, 17 and 24 November, and 1, 8 and 15 December.

Aslef will now recommend the new deal to its members at the company.
