Version 0 of 1.

A businessman arrested after reports that a young girl was put into a car boot in Swansea has had the case against him dropped.

Keith Jelfs, 48, of Bracknell, Berkshire, was charged with child neglect after the alleged incident outside a Sainsbury's store.

Magistrates were told the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) had decided not to pursue the case.

A major police search followed reports from shoppers in June this year.

The girl was later found "safe and well" in Berkshire.

On Monday magistrates were told no evidence would be offered against Mr Jelfs after the CPS had decided the prosecution was not in the public interest.

Mr Jelfs did not attend the hearing but had been told of the decision.
