CCTV released after attack in pub

CCTV images have been released by Gwent Police investigating an attack by three men on two others in a Newport pub.

The assault left one victim with serious head and facial injuries, and the other suffered a fractured wrist and facial injuries.

Officers said the CCTV pictures showed people who could hold vital information and urged them to come forward.

The assault was in the Crosskeys pub in Market Street at about 1930 GMT on Sunday, 24 February.

The attackers were described as white, and about 5ft 8in (1.72m) tall.

Two of them were stocky, and the other was described as thin.

The assault happened inside the premises, and the attackers left the pub and headed towards High Street.

The victims are white and in their early 30s.

Police said they were believed to have been speaking to the offenders before the attack.
