The deadline for displaying 2016 blue Loudoun vehicle decals is Nov. 30. Decals can be picked up weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the following locations:

→Loudoun County Government Center, 1 Harrison St. SE, first floor, Leesburg.

→Treasurer’s Office, 21641 Ridgetop Cir., Suite 104, Sterling.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is advising motorists of potential traffic delays on Route 15 between the Prince William County line and Masons Lane south of Leesburg during the transport of heavy equipment for an energy facility under construction.

The moves are scheduled for Thursday, next Sunday, Nov. 24, and Dec. 10, 15, 17 and 20, between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. The Virginia Department of Transportation has sign boards in the area to alert drivers.

The Loudoun Targets Lyme Art Contest asks students to explore through art how Lyme disease, which is widespread in Loudoun County, has affected the community.

The contest is open to all middle and high school students in Loudoun public, private and home schools. All artwork should be 11 by 14 inches and reflect one of the following themes:

→How it feels to have Lyme disease.

→The face of Lyme disease.

→How the perception of Lyme disease affects those who have it.

The artwork will be used in a public awareness campaign. The deadline for submissions is March 1 at 5 p.m.
