Gang kidnaps and assaults man, 23

A 23-year-old man has been kidnapped and assaulted in Bangor, police say.

A gang forced him out of his Priory Close home at 2030 GMT on Thursday, then beat him up. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

It is understood drugs and paramilitarism have been ruled out by detectives, who said a definite line of inquiry is being investigated.

Three men aged 37, 30 and 27 were arrested in the town on Friday and are being questioned by police.
