Grampian Police have not released any details about the circumstances surrounding the woman's death which they are treating as unexplained. Grampian Police said they had identified the body as that of 25-year-old Venetia Morgan.
The direction of their inquiries will depend on the results of a post-mortem examination. A spokesman said that her death was being treated as unexplained, although there did not seem to be any suspicious circumstances.
He added that Ms Morgan's next of kin had been informed.
