Two men were killed Tuesday night after the stolen car they were in left the road, struck a fence and smashed into a house in Fairfax County, police said.

Police identified the driver as Antonio A. Badie, 28, of Alexandria. The passenger’s name was not released, pending notification of his relatives. The passenger, who was 27, died at the scene. Badie died after being taken to a hospital.

Fairfax police said their initial investigation indicated that the driver was headed east in the westbound lane of Beacon Hill Road in the Beacon Hill section of the county, south of Alexandria, in a 2008 Honda at a “high rate of speed.”

The car landed in the dining room of a home in the 6800 block of Smithway Drive. No one was in the home at the time of the crash. Police said the car had been reported stolen from the Falls Church area Oct. 18.
