Two juveniles shot in Northeast Washington after getting off MetroBus
Version 0 of 1. Two juveniles who had just gotten off a MetroBus were shot and wounded Wednesday afternoon in Northeast Washington, according to D.C. police. A department spokesman said both victims were conscious and breathing when taken to area hospitals. Information about their conditions was not immediately available. Police said the shooting occurred about 3:20 p.m. at East Capitol Street Northeast and Benning Road Southeast. The shooting was on the northeast side of the intersection, which has a Metro stop and is a nexus for several bus lines. No arrests have been made. The ages of the victims were not divulged. A spokeswoman for Metro said the shooter was outside Bus No. 97 and that after being struck, one of the youths got back on the bus, apparently to reach a safe place. |
