Version 0 of 1.

A man and his teenage daughter have been held hostage at their home in Andersonstown, west Belfast, during a robbery, police have said.

Three masked men called at the house in the St Agnes area just after 0700 GMT and ordered the man's wife to go to her place of work on Boucher Road.

She put money in a bag and took it to a drop-off point at Colin Glen Forest, near Pembrook Loop in Poleglass.

Police did not say how much was in the bag, which was picked up by the gang.

None of the family is thought to have been injured.

Detectives have urged any witnesses to contact police at Grosvenor Road station.

SDLP West Belfast assembly member Alex Attwood the raid was "a terrible ordeal and trauma for the family".

"The big issue is apprehending those responsible," he said.

"This requires anyone in the community to quickly assist the police and for everyone to encourage people to do so."
