An evacuation operation is under way at Belfast International Airport at Aldergrove after the discovery of suspicious items. A security alert at Belfast International Airport has ended and the terminal has been re-opened.
Police said a number of packages were discovered at the airport's long-stay carpark. Police said two packages found at the long-stay car park were no longer being treated as suspicious.
Army explosives experts are at the scene and a controlled explosion has been carried out. The airport had been closed for almost an hour while a controlled explosion was carried out.
A PSNI spokesperson police were now examing closed-circuit television footage in a bid to discover how the packages came to be there.
