An Albanian man has been extradited to Scotland in connection with a fire on a plane at Glasgow Airport in January 2005.

A BMI plane was set alight in the early hours after an intruder breached security and got onto a runway.

Strathclyde Police have confirmed that a man has been arrested and is due to appear in court on Monday.

The 35-year-old has been living in Ireland. No-one was injured and the empty plane suffered minor damage.
