Authorities said they have arrested a driver suspected of a hit-and-run that killed a man walking with a snow blower near his home in Harford County.

The incident happened in March as Christian J. Widomsky, 44, was outside his home around 7 p.m. in the 2800 block of Harford Road in Fallston, using a snow blower he had borrowed from a neighbor.

He was walking along the shoulder of the road, back to his house behind the snow blower when a Jeep Cherokee — headed north on Harford Road — struck him from behind.

Authorities said witnesses told them that the driver of the Jeep seemed to lose control. After hitting him, the Jeep Cherokee did not stop and headed north on Harford Road, officials said.

Widomsky was pronounced dead at a hospital.

On Wednesday, Maryland State Police said they arrested Kenneth S. Borys, 24, of Bel Air, Md. He faces several charges and was held on a bond of $20,000.

Authorities said they presented evidence last week to a Harford County grand jury. Borys was arrested and charged at his home without incident, state police said.
