A number of children have been injured in a collision between a school bus and a lorry in County Tyrone. | |
The accident happened as the bus was turning into a primary school on the Ballygawley Road, Cabragh, at 0800 GMT. | |
Two of the children are described as "fairly seriously" injured. Six others, including the driver, have also been taken to hospital. | |
The road has been closed between Dungannon and Ballygawley roundabout. There are major traffic delays. | |
The bus was carrying about eight pupils from St Ciaran's High School in Ballygawley and seven from St Mary's Primary School in Cabragh. | |

It is understood five ambulances went to the scene. The injured have been taken to Craigavon Area Hospital. | |

Local SDLP councillor Anthony McGonnell said it was "an horrific scene". | |
"What we know so far is that two children - pupils of St Ciaran's High School in Ballygawley - have been badly injured. | |
"A number of other children have received less severe injuries. | |
"We do not know as yet how badly injured anybody is. They have all been removed by the emergency services, who responded magnificently and were here literally within minutes." | |
